Bike for Brady
Saturday, June 27th
Riders, walkers, and runners alike are invited to support Brady Faith Center’s 7th Annual Bike for Brady. This event is designed for you to get out and move while supporting the movement and mission of Brady Faith Center and its programs like Pedal to Possibilities. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, this year Bike for Brady will not have its usual festival of fun following the bike rides. There are two ways to participate!
- Participate from wherever you are! Sign up, set a goal, build a fundraising team, and get out there! Over the weekend of June 27th, make an outing goal (like a 2 mile walk, 5k run, 10+ mile bike) and complete it with your family or close friends wherever in the world you might be. Create a fundraising goal for your outing and share it with the world! Send us your photos completing your outing using the hashtag #BikeForBrady
- Join in a small group ride that leaves from Brady Farm! On the morning of Saturday, June 27th, there will be two routes available (10 mile & 40 mile) with small groups of riders leaving from Brady Farm. The 10 mile ride leaves at 9:00am proceeds to Onondaga Lake and back (view map). The 40 mile ride leaves at 8:00am proceeds to Otisco Lake and back (view map).
Whether you join us for a small group ride or complete your own outing goal with those near to you, we appreciate your willingness to get out and move so that the Brady Faith Center can continue its mission to move to the margins, stand in solidarity with our brothers and sisters in the Southwest neighborhood of Syracuse, and serve the spiritual, educational, and social needs wherever support is needed. All participants receive an event t-shirt. We invite you to wear it during your outing to celebrate solidarity and raise awareness for the Brady Faith Center.
Pedal to Possibilities, one of Brady Faith Center’s 24 programs, offers community, exercise, fun and a means of transportation to participants from our community. We ride in the city every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday throughout the year. After a rider completes 10 rides, she or he receives a bike, helmet and lock! Most riders continue to come back for the new friendships, support, shared meal and community.
So grab your bike helmet or walking shoes and register today to celebrate with us at the seventh annual Bike and Walk for Brady!
