Jail Ministry Sponsors 16th Annual Movie Night Fundraiser
2013-03-22
Syracuse, NY… Jail Ministry’s annual Movie Night brings “To Kill a Mockingbird” to the Palace Theatre on Tuesday April 9th at 7:00 PM.
This powerful drama surrounds the imprisonment and defense of a black man in the 1930’s.
Admission is $5.00 per person and all proceeds benefit the work of Jail Ministry.
Each year, the Jail Ministry community sponsors a thought-provoking movie followed by a discussion on the movie’s theme. “To Kill a Mockingbird” debuted in 1962, at the height of the Civil Rights movement, and earned Gregory Peck an Oscar.
“You never really understand a person until you consider things from his point of view…until you climb inside of his skin and walk around in it.”
– Atticus Finch in “To Kill a Mockingbird”
