Parenting Class begins at the Brady Faith Center
For some time we have heard from parents that they would like more knowledge on how to be a better parent. In response to this request the Brady Faith Center has initiated a series of parenting classes. The classes utilize The Kentucky Network series; “How To Talk So Kids Will Listen” video and workbook by Adele Faber and Elaine Mazlish.
On December 5, 2012 a six session parenting class got on the way facilitated by Emily Nisco-Frank, Program Coordinator and Trevor Williams, Center Coordinator. The class topics are: Dealing with your child’s feelings, Engaging Cooperation, Alternatives to Punishment, Encouraging Autonomy,New Waysto Praise, and Freeing Children from Playing Roles.
Class are held on Wednesdays from 10:45 AM- 12:30 PM and class dates are: December 5, 12; January, 9, 16, 23; February 6, 13 of 2013.
